I found the real events on which the movie was based to be creepier than the movie itself.

After watching GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS and now this, I think James Foley is clearly one of the modern masters when it comes to directing and setting the stage for great acting. Brad Jr. confronts his father armed with his father's gun, but decides instead to cooperate with police.

There's something bold about the film's wealth of imagery, but it also so overstates the material of the screenplay that it eventually annihilates both it and the story.
Although film sets have been dismantled and the park returned to its natural state, the area where Rivendell was set is a beautiful picnic spot with river swimming and bush walks. The scene makes you so sad and angry at the same time that it just breaks your f**king heart!
