The fact that it only lasted one Canadian season (13 episodes) is a tragedy. Former Vancouver City Coroner, Dominic Da Vinci, has just been elected Mayor of Vancouver. So take heart, there is much more to the story. Following Da Vinci's Inquest, Da Vinci's City Hall, kept up the great story telling, political intrigue, and overall amazing show. After a while, I found myself asking, is there no one who deals truly and honorably. Da Vinci is based on the real-life experiences of Larry Campbell, the former chief coroner of Vancouver who was elected that city's mayor in 2002. Prostitution is treated like "just another job", corruption in City Hall/back stabbing/using people/blackmailing others to promote deals behind the scenes, legalized gambling to promote tourism & money for the city...only curse words they seem to use is the Savior of the Christian faith:.

Leary's investigation of a pedophile ring leads to a prominent developer and an old nemesis.Da Vinci schemes to placate Chief Jacobs with an offer of more police officers, paid for by slot machine revenues. We have murder, homeless mayhem, problems with the mentally disabled, and Canadian weather... Great viewing so far. Highly recommend it.
