As a young mother, Lisa says she too was a drug addict who took Ashley, even when she was exhibiting hallucinations, to drug houses, and left her there.
I don't want to show any more of that. Michael sees the kids as a nuisance to his new life. This was sad. But she says Jani going off her medication is another fear of hers. The show doesn't accurately portray Jani's decline over the years. Michael and Susan are honest about the toll and never-ending struggle that raising a child with a mental illness has on their relationship. That is a very horrible idea because clozapine is a last resort medication for severe untreatable schizophrenia. Michael has replaced our family with his new family. Since the show aired DCFS has taken the children, Jani and Bodhi away. A former couple feuds over whether their 11-year-old has schizophrenia. Ashley admits that her relationship with Lisa is completely unhealthy, and the stress of her family triggers her mental illness.Two weeks ago, Ashley says she was arrested for DUI, possession of a controlled narcotic and driving with a suspended license. He says Bodhi has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and insists that Susan’s quest for a diagnosis of schizophrenia for Bodhi is putting their son in danger. Phil: Yesterday I sat down with feuding exes Michael and Susan who first appeared on the show seven years ago to talk about their daughter Jani who was diagnosed with childhood schizophrenia. Yeah, I do acknowledge that. They can't work with him unless he is mentally stable.
She says her hallucinations are typically demonic and morbid in nature, and she says that she had her first one at 8 years old, when she saw Jesus on a horse. Bodhi sleeps on a mattress on the floor next to the mattress that Susan and Cory share. When Jani was on the show, when she met Dr. Phil, she was still talking a lot about her hallucinations and she was very much in her own world. Tell me about pets. With a court hearing to discover her fate, Ashley faces Dr. Phil. Michael left me to pick up the pieces, and he left me alone. She still occasionally will talk about her hallucinations, but I don't know if she really even sees them or if she's just lonely and she wants friends.P: Well, she's tested at a genius IQ, so she has a very rich intellect and so it takes a lot to keep her entertained.
