He taught in Prince George's County, Maryland at Crossland High School, Oxon Hill High School and Potomac High School (where he met the love of his life, Elizabeth, an Art teacher, whom he married in 1998) as well as Prince George's Community College, after which he took a position as Professor of English Literature at Bowie State University. At the time of his death, he was employed at Thomas Stone High School, in Waldorf, Maryland. He joined a painting group where he felt intimidated and inferior. God Bless.I'm shocked to know he has passed. He was also an accomplished artist, scholar and poet. By age 16, he was being paid for gigs, and so began his professional music career. It was after retiring early from a career that included dress designing and property development that he decided to take up painting as a hobby. Frankie went on to earn a Master's degree in English Literature. In loving memory of Frank Clarke who sadly passed away on 21st July 2015. He graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, earning his Bachelor's degree, as well as the 1993 Poet Laureate Award.

RIP dear Frank!so sad to learn today he's no longer in this world. The obituary was featured in Derry Journal on March 24, 2017. He enjoyed playing with different musicians and experimenting with style, and continued to develop variations of bands. Your spirit is always with us. He attended St. John's Catholic School, Tawny Middle School and Crossland High School, graduating in 1975.
