She couldn’t believe it at that moment, and she has spent every minute since trying to convince herself that this isn’t just an elaborate dream. By her sophomore year, she still felt directionless as an artist and as a person, but that all changed when she joined a 2D animated film team.
Fast forward to September, Li received a call from Nickelodeon and was informed that she passed the first round. She spent those days creating webcomics about soap opera stars and tax collectors. While all her close friends were getting ready for college, they wanted to be pharmacists, engineers, and doctors. She began to teach herself Visual Development by watching tutorials, reading books and analyzing artbooks. Fascinated by this discovery, Abigail started trying this with all of her movies, and she began drawing her own characters in motion. Through artbooks and new animated content that was becoming more readily available, her love for environments and backgrounds grew.
