Great show with Rob Thomas, Neon Trees, Fitz & Tantrums, think i recall seeing Pat from Train too. I had no idea who he was until he was gone. He also played on Madonna’s Erotica album and joined The Girlie Show World Tour in 1993. Paul can be seen these days playing for Robert Randolph and The Family band ! But the 2nd half was really, really great, starting at "Here Today". Hope to enjoy some more soon. So, Hall & Oates was inducted into the Hall of Fame and Paul Pesco wasn't there… Was so deeply disappointed that what Paul help build, there wasn't even a footnote of acknowledgement. You guys are nuts! His absence is a real loss to the vibe, presence, and pleasing quality of the performance. Replacements and additions have stirred fans up from the Beatles, to the Stones and Journey and and and (and LFDH,). But people, now that you've taken sides, can you stop just long enough to think about what a truly strong show it still is? I think not lol.
Paul Pesco was the lead guitarist and musical director of the rock and soul duo Studios in New York, where he crossed paths with many well-known artists, and some not so well-known at the time including a young performer named Madonna who recognized his talent and hired him to record some sessions with her. He's done great things-come to find out, i own many of them. A little more raw and less polished, which suits the concept better anyway. He was replaced by Shane Theriot, who is not only a homeboy of mine but a mighty fine guitar player. how anyone could think Pesco offered something significant to that band is beyond me.
