Again, the built-in customer base that Etsy has is a huge sell for starting your shop on Etsy.

Good luck. I can't decide whether to sell downloads or physical prints.

I cant help but feel they they are making way more on my art prints than I am.I'm interested in what you think of the prints as I did order a sample from them and I'm not happy with the print and won't continue to use them. This may not be everyone, but I would be turned off a little by the item not being handled by the seller before it was sent to me. If it weren’t for PayPal, at least in the beginning, I could never have sold online. Have you thought about putting your photos on the stock image sites that sell both the rights to the image and prints?I agree with everyone else - dropshipping can be a disaster in terms of quality control, delayed shipping, bad packaging and remember - you will be the one refunding the buyer before trying to get the money back from the printer. It helps if a printing partner does their printing on site. For A2 and larger though, I use Image Science in North Melbourne. She’s amazing…I’m the photographer, she’s the crafter. How does this work? I’d also hate to see my art printed on shitty paper or the colors are completely off because the buyer (or print service they use) doesn’t put in the effort to get the colors just right.Digital prints definitely have a lot of pros though but I can’t give up the little bit of control lolYeah these days anything can be ripped off. In my recent Etsy affiliate post, I let you know that I make purchases on Etsy often – but probably not the kind of products you are thinking.I don’t know that I have ever purchased a handmade or vintage item from the site. Thanks for the info as it definitely helps!I started my research into online selling with this article, and I’m glad I did. I did some research on Etsy and share my personal view point & experiences with Etsy on my blog: Hi Patsy, I agree with you at least in part.

Less to deal with. Good luck with your search!Hi Julian, fellow Victorian here.

I want full control of what the customer is getting.Totally understand. Obviously part of the photography process is retouching in Photoshop and all your hard work can go down the drain if someone went and printed your work incorrectly.
Even if they didn’t print it themselves.I'm glad you said this! I just wanted to thank you for all of the great tips! I’m absolutely positive this article will help me along the way! Make sure you have permission to use any fonts or graphics for RE-SELLING from the original designer. This means I can take photos of the actual item in addition to (or in some cases instead of) any mock-ups provided by a 3rd party, and make sure there are no problems with the item. I realize that there is always the possibility of someone stealing my work after downloading.

!The thing about selling downloads is as a customer you get the product with in seconds or minutes after making the purchase. Re: Quality Art with Print on Demand POD Do it. A listing lasts for four months or until the item is sold.

So there is definitely a market for it.

I've order a few things including prints and I liked them.I only sell a handful of print on demand products, and I always do as you do, Julian, and order samples of the items I'm thinking of selling before committing to them. But I am not sure how the taxation comes into play.I am new to this and don’t understand how to do the technical part of getting my paintings onto etsy.

Selling Art on Etsy Isn’t That Hard.

If you could help me it would be greatly appreciated!ULine is a distributor of packing materials and they make mailers especially designed for shipping artwork both 2D and 3D.I tried Etsy, but in 2 weeks I had only one visit in my page, so I deleted my profile.
