Once you've sat in the best, nothing else will do.. My home office, thanks to this chair, now far outweighs my traditional office set-up and I plan on taking this chair with me to the office when things return to normal. From this experience I'm confident they care about customer service and I'll be taken care of if I have any issues within the next 12 years.The chair is pretty good for a remanufactured chair. You can find a slightly lower price of $400 at some other furniture refurbishers, but I decided to go with Crandall instead for a few reasons:- Crandall lets you select frame color and fabric color, whereas the others often only let you have all black- Crandall seems to have better reviews, and thus I assumed their customer service was better (more on that later)- Crandall offers a 12 year warranty, which is as long as Steelcase's official one- Crandall has a bunch of youtube videos online about how to self-service the parts of your Steelcase Leap, so it seems like they know what they're doing and they care about the chairs they sell.I ordered it, and it shipped out within 2-3 days, and the chair arrived in about a week. These chairs are beautiful, really do look like new ones because your crew tended to every detail (and my last set of Leap chairs actually were brand new). I'd definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a new desk chair.The chair is beautiful, comfortable and encourages better posture! Desk was handled a bit rough in shipping and was missing footer. Fully customizable at around half the price of retail, and super comfortable and adjustable.
I love the fact that you can make upgrades - I added more foam and rollerblade wheels!Ordered a Steelcase Leap v1 that was on sale and I was a bit skeptical of what would show up, but I was blown away when it arrived. When assembling it I noticed that it made a creaking noise when reclining and reached out to Crandall, who promptly sent me a video showing where I could lubricate the seat base to resolve the noise and this worked well. I’ve had it over a month now and love the style I got and love the amazing refurb job. The Steelcase 462 Leap V2 office chair has been the Steelcase flagship chair since being updated from the V1 version in 2007, and is still being made new today. I looked at many different chairs and decided to give Crandall’s re-manufactured chair a chance.
That will 100% be covered by our warranty, so we’d love to get this taken care of for you! The fabric, foam, gas cylinder, casters, and arm rests appear brand new.There are cheaper places to buy used/refurbished chairs online but I bought from Crandall as I didn't want the risk of getting a junk chair. For less than $20, I was able to fix it all by myself. I now have to arrange to have it picked up by UPS--also something that I had to email Crandall to find out. The vinyl looks very high end and is beautifual in my office. I could always try their 30 day return policy if the chair was junk, right? Given the option to add additional seat padding one might even argue that it’s better. Great customer service. You really can’t beat that kind of customer service.
Assembly was easy, except for the part about sliding the seat onto the frame. It's also really comfortable, and very easy to adjust. I was so happy to come across Crandall and find quality remanufactured chairs with comparable warranties for half the price. Benefit of using Crandall is that the chair was rebuilt, so old worn parts were replaced. The results of their product has been nothing short of excellent. However, their customer service hasn't been pleasant to deal with.
Overall can’t complain after trying and returning three other chairs – this is the best I’ve found. Crandall sent new, larger, wheels to rectify the issue and now everything seems fine.I’ve had my chair for a few days now and it has made a huge difference over my leather high back chair I bought from office depot. I was worried about that but that doesn’t seem to happen. Talking about customer service, my Leap chair didn’t come without a Lumbar even though it was ordered. However, when I was disassembling the chair, the problem was that the lever to change the chair height wasn’t completely pushing on the gas cylinder, so I just wedged a piece of cardboard in there To compress the mechanism completely when I press on the lever and now it works great. In fact, aside from these few scuffs that you can’t see without looking for them, it is indistinguishable from what I would expect a new chair to look like.The value you’re getting from this is astounding. Again, all I got was a email from UPS saying that a return was processed which I read to mean Crandall had arranged for the defective unit to be picked up (turns out, this was not so). Was I happy I did. I immediately noticed a difference after using it for a few hours.
Mine is way cushier and makes his chair look like he found it on the side of the road. Definitely use the assembly video in addition to the instructions. I’m more comfortable and more productive as a result. They've been super easy to deal with as well! We sell high quality replacement office chair parts for Steelcase and Haworth office chairs. I ended up finding dis-assembly instructions online so all was good in the end.
The chair is like new and was easy to assemble. Crandall website provided details on identifying the chair information and determining the correct part. A few very minor scuffs on the frame, the fabric is brand new, the cushions are comfortable, all parts are functioning perfectly.
I was willing to upgrade as I got a great price (open box item) on the chair anyway.
