I doubt you ever bought white Kona Sugarloafs in any grocery store outside of Hawaii. Sometimes Mother Nature has other plans

Next season I hope to have some second generation fruits from tops and pups from last years first gen store bought tops.My elite gold that I got as a 2 inch tissue culture took 2 years to flower and then another 6 months to harvest. Our summer crop has been harvested and it appears our fall crop will not begin to ripen for 3-4 weeks. White Jade is a winner. Sugarloaf is white, sweeter, low-acid, and a less fibrous pineapple. I am looking into Florida Special as a new variety for my yard, but have not bought one yet. and even though Paul, Jude, and the little Parson Russell Terrier, Panda have been very busy at Hole In The Mountain Farm, Aside from in person, you call also ship from Top Tropicals, as well as some decent Amazon sellers, and I'm sure probably somebody on Etsy and/or Ebay too. The core of Kauaʻi Sugarloaf is completely edible, and is not woody or stringy as is the case in other varieties of pineapple.

From Hawaii, this is one of the sweetest pineapples out there and no spines!! In FL, it is easy enough though to order a few different kinds from local nurseries. Most especially we want to thank you for supporting our dreams. Sweet white flesh, edible core and very low in acid, and has beautiful blue grey foliage.
