It's so aggressively dull it's a new art form. I feel like I missed something that would have made the ending make sense but I’m pretty sure I didn’t. Dreadful storyline, awful acting and it was really pointless and went nowhere.

Unfortunately the story complete garbage. Unfinished dialogue that made no sense. Do not waste your time. The end of the movie is absurd — but sometimes a good capper is. I suspect most viewers could have written this story in their sleep as we have all seen a version of this movie over and over again. You arrange the lighting, maybe start some popcorn on the hob or some chocolate treats for the inevitable interval when you have to go to the bathroom. The movie manages to have you asking questions, was Danny guilty, did Danny consciously jump into the water knowing that Tom was there. If you like suspense, unpredictability and an unexpected ending this movie is for you. Some are even wondering if Kou / Koichiro Hasegawa (male protagonist) died.

Nothing was tied together or explained in a remotely sufficient way.Was starting to watch this in hopes of a twist or sensational revelation but the movie just seems to drag….now that I know the payoff is nil, I’ll just skip it altogether. Nope. There’s something awesome about a cathartic action that leads not to relief but … RELEASED IN 2016 and directed by Bette Gordon, "The Drowning" focuses on a child psychologist (Josh Charles) whose life is disrupted by the release of a young man from reformatory (Avan Jogia).

In her new film, The Drowning, she goes deep into the psyche of a middle-aged psychiatrist as he battles with his haunting past. I didn't even know that a movie could make me feel so frustrated and disappointed. Either way, Danny is making it difficult to be given the benefit of the doubt so Tom works at clearing his conscience.This film really doesn’t do its actors, or characters really, justice. It means “The Drowning” is serviceable enough as the delivery mechanism for a twisty, not entirely credible plot — one can drown in less than two … Astronaut Bowman (Keir Dullea) transports across the vast distances of space before ending up in a bedroom and speedily grows in age to become an old man. Really bad script, direction, story. Very disappointed to see Josh Charles and Julia Stiles in that very disappointing movie.Same here.
